Listen first
Every family has its own story. We want to understand what people say they need before deciding how to help.
In Wakiso District, Uganda, OUR CRY CENTER began when Kisembo Mathew and Naggujja Sharon saw children going hungry and missing the education they need for a brighter future, alongside women facing hardship.
In 2021, following the hardships of COVID-19, Mr. Kisembo Mathew and Mrs. Naggujja Sharon witnessed children going hungry and missing school—losing precious opportunities to learn and build better futures. They also saw mothers struggling with violence, abandonment, and loss. Moved by what they saw, they felt God calling them to respond with compassion.
Through prayer and discernment, God placed a clear calling on their hearts: care for children first, and support the women in their lives. While they couldn't meet every need immediately, they committed to sharing what they had and gathering others who shared their vision.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” James 1:27
Today, OUR CRY CENTER is home to 14 orphaned children and 8 women.
Our children need daily meals, healthcare, education, safe shelter, clothing, and the consistent, loving care every child deserves. Our team continues to pray for strength, wisdom, and provision—not only to care for those already here, but to create space for more.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
“Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Our promise is simple and personal: this center is your home.

A community united in care for children and women.OUR CRY CENTER is currently home to 14 orphaned children and 8 women. The children need daily food, medication when needed, education, and the care of a safe home. Our space and resources are limited, but our hope is not. We believe God will make a way where there seems to be no way: provide what these children and women need, help us secure bigger land, and create room to welcome more.
We hold this vision in faith and keep taking the steps we can today—sharing food, meeting basic needs, and caring for the people already around us.
“With God all things are possible.”Matthew 19:26 · King James Version

Women and children deserve kindness, privacy, and respect—not judgement or pity.
Lasting care is built through relationships and a community willing to show up for one another.
